Instagram photo downloader: what to know
Use this page for photo posts and multi-image carousels. Each image in a carousel is shown with its own preview and download button, so you can save a single picture instead of the whole set.
Images are delivered at the largest size Instagram offers for that post. Respect the photographer: do not re-upload pictures without permission, and keep the credit when you share them.

Tips for better results
- Instagram may serve a slightly smaller picture than the one the owner uploaded; we cannot restore the original upload.
- Posts that mix photos and videos show both types in the same list.
- Use the photo only for personal reference or with the owner's written permission.
- On a phone, long-press a preview to see the system options, or use the download button for a proper file.

Frequently asked questions
Can I save every photo of a carousel?
Yes. Every slide is listed separately with its own download button, up to the limits of the post.
Is the picture cropped?
No. We save the image at the aspect ratio Instagram stores it, not the square preview shown in the feed.
Do I get the profile picture too?
No. This tool is for post media only, not profile pictures or Highlights.
Is this downloader free?
Yes. There is no fee, no account and no software to install. The site is supported by advertising.
Which links work?
Public Instagram links that contain /reel/, /reels/, /p/ or /tv/, and instagram.com/share/ links copied from the app. Links from private accounts do not work.
Can I download Stories, Highlights or private posts?
No. We cannot and do not access anything that requires a login. That includes Stories, Highlights and private accounts.
What quality will I get?
The best file Instagram provides for that post. We do not compress the video or add a watermark. If the source is low resolution, so is the download.
Do you store my videos or links?
We do not save downloaded media. The file passes through our server to your device. The media address is cached for about 20 minutes so repeat requests are fast, and short technical logs are kept for security. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Why do I see "We could not find a downloadable file"?
Usually the post is private, was deleted, is age or region restricted, or Instagram has not finished publishing it. Open the link in a private browser window to check. If it opens there and still fails, try again later.
Why am I told to wait a minute?
To keep the service available for everyone, each connection can look up about 10 new links per minute. Shared networks, such as mobile data, can reach this faster.
Is it legal to download Instagram content?
Saving a copy for personal, offline use is generally treated differently from re-publishing it, but the rules depend on your country and on who owns the content. Instagram's terms also apply. Always get permission before reposting, and credit the creator.
Use it responsibly
Instagram content belongs to its creators. Save a post for personal, offline viewing, or when you have the owner's permission. Do not re-upload other people's work as your own, and credit the creator when you share with permission. Copyright owners can ask us to remove links through our DMCA page.
